Eng. Lightness Ladislaus Salema holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam. Postgraduate Diploma in Facilities Management from Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK. She has also done ACCA- Accounting Studies up to Level 2. She has worked with Price Water-House Coopers for two years as an Assurance and Business Advisor. Then, she joined the Central Bank of Tanzania as an Electrical Engineer – Clerk of Works and Facilities Manager in 2004.

In 2006 she followed her passion and decided to major in Women and Youth Empowerment; she became a Professional Networker and health Consultant from 2006 to date. With a continuous desire to help many, she embraced Sustainable Development Goals SDGs no 1,2,3,5,7,8, 9, 13,17 through Pan-African Women Organization (PAWO) and African Women in Energy (AWEN). She is the founder and CEO of Innovation Mining Opportunity Plc (IMO), Women In Mining Operations (WIMO), Women Empowerment Program (WEP) and RADAR INSURANCE.
